Its doubly tough to see what some people who have personal problems take them out on a poor defenseless animal. This may or may not have been the case, but still..

If you hadn't found him dear and taken him to that vet he might well have lived. Another day maybe - a day spent in the baking heat, in pain and distress, abandoned, starving, thirsty and alone. That's no way for any animal to pass from this life is it.

What you did was a kindness to a poor creature by giving it the dignity and peace of a gentle ending surrounded by caring people.

Thank you all. When I was sitting in my car I named him Midnight. I thought he should have a name. The vet was very wonderful. I am still overwhelmed to know he was that way for at least 3 DAYS. He was shaking so hard and staring at me with those huge green eyes when I picked him up. It keeps playing over and over in my head. I don't think I will ever forget him looking at me when he was on the examing table. He looked so tired. I could feel his ribs and backbone. Midnight will never be forgotten and forever loved.
