2 of 'em

So, for the first time I decided to give Tenac 2 mice. He is growing a lot, and I wanted to make sure that this time he was fed. My local pet store has "Mouse Cards" They are like milk cards, or coffee cards, I buy 10 mice and get the 11th free. My card was full so I was like now is the time to see if he is man enough.

He chomped on both RIGHT AWAY. Great feeding response and awesome strikes. I feed in a separate container, so when he was done with the second, I picked him up to bring him back into his enclosure and he was CONSIDERABLY more heavy. This guy was stuffed.

Anyway, he seems to be holding them down well, but I have seen him do something he never usually does. He is stretching out and moving around. He is full to brim and trying to help the process along ... that's a cool site to see him so fat and happy.

When I get my next snake (from Heather) I will be switching a few things, and putting him in a rack and feeding him in his enclosure as to not upset his full belly. I will also start breeding rats to help with the food costs and to make sure the meals they are getting will be of the highest quality.

Anyway .. just thought I would share my fun day. It was cool to see him so eager to eat and with such skill. Snakes are cool animals.

My local pet shop had smaller than usual mice the last time I went. Not sure my python is ready to take two at once yet, so I fed her one and then 24h later I gave her a second. She seemed nice and full

It's amazing what they do to us, isn't it? And to think I was scared stiff of ours 7 months ago...now I just adore her!
