Not much good news on the update. I have lost all but two yellow hatchlings during the hatching process. A few died in the eggs fully formed but several emerged without having absorbed their yolk still attatched to their umbillical only to die a short time later. The hardest part of this is that I was very carefull to monitor the eggs during incubation, set-up a hatching box, and pip them on day 49ish. The one mistake I made was being out of town for a weekend and not being able to get to the eggs until a day or two after they were laid. This left them a little dried out and they never fully plumped back up.

It was pretty stressful watching these little'uns go down hill rapidly but I am happy to have two more chondros than I had before this experience. I am trying to take this in as a positive and focus on what I have gained( 2 more GTPs and invaulable learning experience ) because it is very depressing when I think of the hatchlings I have lost. I will post some photos of the two survivors once they have shed and had a couple meals.

Thanks for all the nice comments and I wish I had a more positive update. On a brighter note my 2nd ball python clutch hatched and out 4 eggs from a yellowbelly X normal breeding I got 1.3 yellowbellies. Those odds put a mild smile on my face.

I'm sorry to hear about the losses from the clutch. I wish you the best of luck with the two that made it. I hope feeding trials go well too! Judging by the parents i've seen here and on mvf those are going to grow up to be some real stunners.
