    Return after escape

My ball escaped about 7 weeks ago. We did everything we could to find him and eventually gave up. Tonight, I walked into the living room and there he was, out of nowhere, not having seen a sign of him in 7 weeks, he was curled up in the middle of the floor. I redid his enclosure (I had eventually cleaned it out) and put him in there. He went straight to the water and began drinking for a long time, then soaked in it and then climbed onto his perch to lay under his light. Are there any suggestions you have? I have looked him over, etc. to make sure there were no obvious signs of sickness or wounds, but is there anything you suggest I specifically watch for? I don't know where he went when he got out, just that he came back and he does have some blue on his head. I can't figure out what it could possibly be. It didn't wash off, the top of his head is tinged blue like he got into some type of chemical....

    thanks

    Re: Return after escape

Just keep an eye out for any illnesses...

Popping, clicking, open mouth breathing, broken bones..

Be more vigilant, and if you notice anything, take him to the vet for a checkup.

As for the blue.. yeah. I have no idea

    BUT!!!

    Congrats on finding him!

    Re: Return after escape

    Thanks for the quick response.
At first, I tohught he was breathing with his mouth open, but then I realized his head was tipped just enough to take in water through the side of his mouth and once he lifted his head from the water, he closed his mouth, so that was good.
I'll give him about a week to show any signs of illness and then attempt to wash the blue off of his head again.

thanks (and he came back home, I didn't find him and he has shown me how much smarter than me he really is) lol
