Moms genes played a role?
I think this is what spiders should look like. Nice high white sides, gold dorsal, and thin "webs".
Look at this clutch(DP-08-xxx) 7 spiders out of 10(the normals are really cute too). http://www.iherp.com/Public/Animals/...0-7cd66c9999f9
The normal mom has some spider like stripes.

I thought that was interesting.

Re: Moms genes played a role?
As in all reproduction, both parents genes play a role...
This is why selective breeding is key!
Very nice Spiders, by the way

The head marking on the one you like best is really great
But your wife's top pick? What can I say? Great minds think alike!

005 is my pick too! I love how so much of the dorsal is just one solid stripe! Pretty!
Selective breeding definitely is very important. Right now it seems like most people in BPs aren't doing it much. I think (and HOPE!) in the future that will change.
