Today, I came home from Melanie's house just like every week and did my routine check the snakes, water snakes.

I found my first ever clutch of ball pythons, all the more exciting because it was from my 06' Lemon Pastel girl (Winston's sister). Five GREAT looking eggs.

And I am proud to say that all my hard work has paid off. I almost guessed her lay date on the nose...I assume she laid these late last night, (July 1st) and I had her on the calendar to lay June 30th. So not too shabby!

Even more exciting is that she was bred to almost all of my codom males at one point or another. I had started breeding her in October of last year. So I'm expecting anything from Cinnies, lessers, spiders, pastels, pewters, lesser pastels, bumblebees, super pastels, and of course normals.

I'll be thrilled to hatch anything really, but a combo in my first clutch would be incredible!!!

On to the pictures...

You can see the spots where they were laid, however, she must've readjusted while laying, or I slid them while I was removing her, but I made darn sure none turned or moved.

And all setup and ready to go, the incubator has been running for almost three months...I had an anticipated clutch earlier, but I think that female just decided not to go.

I can honestly say this has been the most rewarding point thus far of keeping ball pythons, now I see what its all about. Onto the wait...

Thanks for sharing in my excitement!
