Scale rot? D:
Last time my snake shed, there was a little tiny bit stuck on the tip of her tail which I took care of with the ol "soak and then washcloth" trick.
Now for the past few days i've noticed the tip of her tail is looking a little... crusty? Is it possible I just missed a little of the old skin? If it's scale rot, what should i do about it?
She's going to shed in the next 3-4 days for sure (eyes translucent now, almost opaque) so maybe that will take care of it? Anyways, here's a (blurry) pic:

Possibly dead or dying (necrotic) tissue from left over dried sheds..
Pay close attention to it in the next shed, and make SURE that that part comes off.

I have no experience with scale rot, but since she/he is so close to shed I would suggest just waiting it out and seeing if that fixes itself. If his/her tail is still funky after the shed, then maybe a trip to the vet is in order.

I put a little dab of neosporin on it in case it is "dead" tissue. Don't want anything getting infected, that's for sure.
