Huge congrats to your husband and to you for being *such* a supportive wife and mother. It is not easy to keep everything together on the home front while the husband is away and still be able to integrate him when he returns. You do an awesome job Judy

As for all of us here on the forum: We miss you and are trying hard to be good in your absence. At times, this is not easy

Awwwwww....thanks! I just figure this is "my calling" in life...at least for now. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks, Tim! And I agree....definitely a bright side! I'll have a lot more freedom about Daytona this year because I'll be driving in. Can't wait!!!

Crestview is really pretty....and close enough to really nice beaches that I can't complain. But I'll definitely miss all the modern shopping, theaters, restaurants and such that we have around here. I hear Destin has some nice entertainment...but the whole area seems kind of dated compared with what I'm used to. BUT.....I'll be within driving distance of Daytona!!!

I'm glad you went with your hubby. The most respected and informative air force entities are the commander's wives! My close friend's mom was the spouse of the commander, and she just knew everything, a quality, composed, and wonderful lady, taking phone calls and giving assurances to other military wives around Hill Field. Quite an impression to leave on a hot-headed teenager. I took piano lessons from another base commander's wife when we lived on Incirlik AFB, a flaming redhead, Southern vintage. She was amazing, too.
