where sell high price snakes
i was wondering were people sell higher priced snakes like bumble bees, i have a nerd pastel female and was thinking of eventually buying a spider from them and making some bumble bees. but i dont have any idea where i would sell a thousand dollar snake. i cant see some one looking through craigslist or the uncle henrys (for new englanders) and buying a morph like that.
thanx in advance for your input!

Re: where sell high price snakes
Having an online presense and getting to know folks online helps. By the time you have high dollar snakes to sell...the folks looking to buy them will know who you are and what you might have.
Also, local reptile shows. Again, getting to know the people who vend regularly will help you down the road when you're looking to sell your own snakes.
Having a professional website helps a lot to get the word out to people who may not know you personally.
Banner ads on sites like this one.
And lastly, classified ads on sites like Kingsnake and Fauna.
Those are all things that spring immediately to mind. I'm sure there are other avenues as well.

We are also in Maine and have sold high end animals in state. We sold a male pied locally 3 days ago. Most of our sales are from kingsnake, word of mouth/website, and shows. We tried uncle henry's and it was a waste of time. The best way to sell high end animals is to make a good name for yourself, sell high quality animals, and advertise them right. The other option is to sell them to wholesalers and have them sell them to there clients, a lot of my animals are now coming from my clients, its a way for them to move the animals easier, and allows me to get high quality animals at a good price, and know a little more history on them too.
Good luck.
