    is this morph possible?

Ok everyone go easy on me Im very new to how genetics work...

Anyways this may have been done allready but I was just wondering if its possible to have an albino pied, I was thinking how cool it would be to have a pied that the pattern area were albino markings....

How would this be bred? i know the first step would be to breed an albino with a pied, then what?

Pied x Albino would make a bunch of poss het pied and poss het albino snakes, with normal phenotype... then breed all those and hope for the best?

I think i'm right at least

Breed a Pied to an Albino which will result in normal looking offsprings double het for albino pied.

Breed the double Hets together, this would in theory give you this

    Double Het Albino Pied 25%
    Albino Het Pied 12.5%
    Pied Het Albino 12.5%
    Albino Pied 6.25%
    Het Albino 12.5%
    Het Pied 12.5%
    Albino 6.25%
    Pied 6.25%
    Normal 6.25%

Wow, sounds like years of work, I have hets for albino and im thinking of picking up hets for pied... i bet if I work hard enough on it I could eventually produce a breeding pair of thease....

Hmmm sounds confusing but im going to do more research and keep learning so i can find the most efficent way of doing this....

    It's not so confusing..

When you breed Albino x Pied all of the babies will look normal but carry the gene for both albino and pied.
Then you raise those babies up and breed them to each other. On each egg you will have 6.25% (1/16) chance of getting a Albino Pied...
It takes about 6 years if you buy your albino and pied as hatchlings. But you can easy find dubble hets for sale also.

The most efficient way to do it is to breed a Pied Het Albino to an Albino Het Pied. This gives you a 25% chance per egg to get an Albino Pied.

I see by the stats listed above that is the best way, but trying to prove all of those babies is the hard part.... Im starting to realize now when people have BP's listed on kingsnake why they are charging $10,000 for it... When I first saw that a few years ago I couldnt believe that people would pay that.. But now Im seeing why they would....

They're slightly different, but ralph davis has produced lavender albino pieds. Look up dreamsicle ball python. The genetic odds are the same.
