    Re: Pastel Hatchlings..

Phew... I thought it was just me as well.

    They look like ghosts.

Maybe in perfect world you got both the babes from a breeder that sold PH ghosts as normals (and pastels)... never know. Luck of the draw.

I have to agree with everyone- those pastels are hardly just pastels~ what beautiful babies!!! And that 'normal'?? No way just a normal!!!! Will you post pictures of the parents? Yours is a stunning clutch!!!

    Re: Pastel Hatchlings..

Wow ...to tell you the truth...I paired the mom(sold to me as a normal) with my dinker for a night (some of you have seen, looks cinny-like) but they showed no interest in eachother. So I paired her up with a Pastel whom I purchased from MarkS on the boards. ...Honestly...I thought the same thing when they hatched ...BUT...this is my first pastel clutch...and I know they go under a serious color change within that first week, so I just assumed they hadnt gone thru with that yet.

I will go down and snap pics of the parents with one of the pastels real quick tho!

    Re: Pastel Hatchlings..

I thought maybe the pic was over exposed because they do have that washed out ghost look.
Congrats either way on some pretty babies

You are correct! I do lack skills in the photo department Here is a pic of what I thought were the mom and dad. Dad is the pastel and Mom is in shed.

Here is a pic of mom with the Dinker. I only had them paired up for 24 hours...but maybe that was enough!

And here is another pic of the normal...

I duno...there is no black on the hatchlings...other than the normal. But I think the first shed will say a lot. The Pastel Came from MarkS here on the boards. The female was sold as a normal from Dave Thompson, and the Dinker was picked up from a private breeder as a 'normal.' I wouldnt mind something new tho

    Re: Pastel Hatchlings..

I don't think the dinker is the father...I'm thinking the pastel is a pos het ghost and so is mom....But how come there are no pastel ghosts? Confusing...
