Red Tail Boa, don't make fun of me!

I have never taken an art class unless you count my one ceramics class senior year of high school - so I'm not very good at this stuff. I was bored the other night and googled some pictures of red tails and decided to try drawing it on some random piece of cardboard that was laying around.

Picture I based it off of from:
http://www.britannica.com/eb/art/pri...rticleTypeId=0 (Page doesn't show anything, but its the page that pops up when you click on the image off of google search)

The head is kind of funky and doesn't seem to fit in with the rest (as you can tell when you look at the actual picture of the snake) and it got messy with all the pencil but I'm still really proud of my little attempt to try and be creative!

Thanks, I think it was okay, I thought I did good for someone who never draws, I might keep working on doing some more drawings and see what I can come up with!

I did this last night - you know its summer when you're on a crazy sleeping schedule and you have to find things to keep yourself busy since there is nothing to do by yourself at 3am

Re: Red Tail Boa, don't make fun of me!

I think you did an awesome job! You can tell what it is, for sure and that alone is worth something! If I had attempted it you wouldn't be able to tell it was a snake or any other animal for that matter.

And, as for the butterfly, I LOVE IT, just the way it is! Did you intend for the paint to run? that is what it is, right?
