? about spurs

i have a male ball python with one of his spurs broke off to a nub will this cause any breeding problems.

My breeder male Mojo lost his spurs sometime during this season.... it hasn't seemed to hinder him one little bit so far.

If your snake truly lost his spur, he should still breed just fine. However, most of the time, when looking at the spur on a ball pyhton, what you are actually looking at is retained shed on the spurs. If you are not seeing spur caps on the shed when you snake sheds, then they are getting retained on the spur itself. Most of the time there is 3-5 layers of skin on the spur. If you pop that reatained skin off of the spur, you will be amazed at how small the spur reallt is. It will be snow white as well under the retained spur caps.
