People have different opinions on this but I would suggest handling for short periods of time and see if it causes any stress.

i agree a little bit here and there giving her time to feel safe and at the same time learn your smell. i don't think any one has said that before but my first ball knows when i have him versus my girl and is more calm and just slowly moving and check in things out with her in the start just was balled and now slowly. he got a more safe feeling with her now.

thats kinda where im at. shes really checkin tihngs out in there. but i dont get ANY of the "trademark" nervousness or balling when ive reached in there to tweak things here or there. even as i type this shes still looking for a way out of the tank lol I appreciate everyones input too

The week to 2 weeks is for her to acclimate to her new surroundings and minimize the chance of refusals.
Give her time to herself with no interruptions other than simple quick spot cleans.
