I don't think so Pat, because it doesn't have an aberrant pattern, the rest of it is just normal lookin. I could be wrong though.

Re: Official JKR 2008 clutch thread

I think it's just heterozygous for pied. Meaning only one allele is of that particular gene. We think in terms of recessive and codominant. The pied gene seems to be a little of both. It's het form shows a distinct phenotype but not always. Such an interesting gene...

NO. It's a het not a homozygous pied. It's called a ringer not a pied for a reason.

    08_clutch#008 - Hatched! - Lavender X Normal - 9 eggs

    =

    6.3 Het Lavenders

Notes: I kind of took it on the nose with the sex ratio, but still thrilled to have 9 healthy Het Lavenders!

    08_clutch#009 - Hatched! - Clown X Normal - 2 TINY eggs, 3 slugs

    =

    2.0 Het Clowns

Notes: These are that tiny egg clutch. My smallest eggs ever but the babies are PERFECT.

08_clutch#XX - Hatched! - Eastern Fence Lizards! - Found these eggs and incubated them at room temp in the snake building. What a fun little project. Of course I promptly let them free....
