Pastel Comparison
I'm hoping to get my first morph later this summer, and it only seems fitting that I start off with the entry level pastel....
But which one? Lemon? Blonde? Jungle? Graziani? What are the differences? Are any of them known for having genetic problems (like a kinked spine)? Do you have to have pastels of the same line to make the supers? Do you have to have a certain type to make the pewter? Do any of them hold their coloring better into adulthood? Sorry for the rapid fire questions... I just want to make an educated decision.
Anything you have to input would be appreciated

Re: Pastel Comparison
There are no genetic problems that I know of associated with the pastels. All pastel lines are compatable with each others so you do not need two of the same line to produce supers. Any pastel is capable of producing pewters. Lemon Pastels are known to hold their bright yellows longer, while Graziani tend to be more blushed as they get older. I think selective breeding plays a bigger role in pastel than the "line" they come from. You can find beauitful examples of pastels holding their colors ect. from all of the lines out there. Do your research and pick the animal that appeals to you the most.
This is my Lemon Pastel when he was a baby for an example of the line...

Re: Pastel Comparison
Thanks FT... like I said... I looked at alot of pastels before deciding on him. Baby pics and adult pics (of the same snake) to try and get an idea of how he would age.
He is a July 06. 1200g.... and would breed a paper towel tube if given the chance.
