    Green eyes in a normal?

    Hey all!

I just got back into ball pythons after a lapse after I was given one by a co-worker who was about to dump her in the woods. Seems he just didn't want her anymore. But I digress...

She's 3 years old and I thought she was a normal. She's a very pretty bronze-yellow along her spine that fades down to pale yellow and into a clean white belly. What really caught my attention is that she has amazing green eyes, probably some of the prettiest I've seen in a snake.

So my question, can you have green eyes in a normal? I know it's a marker for a few morphs, but I've never seen a green-eyed normal. (I wish I had pics, but all I have are bad cell phone pics.)

No matter what she is, she's lovely and I suspect I'll be posting here more often since I'm already planning to add another ball soon.

    Cheers!

I've seen normals with some neat colored eyes but never green

Pastel? Post your cell phone pics and maybe we can identify whether it is indeed a morph.

Re: Green eyes in a normal?

Here are my pictures, sorry for the terrible quality. The head shot is a better picture of her color, the body shot is too dark but it shows her markings. She can look dark at times, but under natural light, she looks much more yellow. My guess was maybe a pastel who browned out? Her previous owner said she's gotten darker as she got older (one of the reasons he no longer wanted her.) Thanks for the help all!

My normal Kharma has greenish eyes. You can sorta tell in this picture. When I have her outside in the sun you can really see the color then.
