Exclamation Should I seek medical attention?

I don't want to freak you guys out so I'll just tell the story and you guys let me know what you think.

I went to Warped Tour today here in Phoenix, AZ where the temp was about 109 for the high. I was out in the sun basically the whole time. I drank crap loads of water.....$30 worth and I only got 6 bottles. You do the math on how much they charged per bottle.

Anyway, I wasn't in the "pit" until around 4:20 when my fav band Angels And Airwaves played. I felt fine up until then, a little hot but nothing I couldn't take. Well, with all the people squishing together it got really hot, really fast. So I got out of the pit a couple of minutes before the set was over. I was dying. I needed a bottle of water fast. So I got one and finished it rather quickly.

When I got out of the show I felt really tired and my muscles hurt. I could barely walk. I thought I was just tired from all the heat so I got in my car and sat for awhile. I drove away after a couple of minutes and stopped at a circle k and got a bottle of water. I sat in my car and took a sip and then threw up everywhere. Luckily outside of my car. My neck started tightening up and throbing and then I passed out for like a split second in my car. And then I felt fine. Great actually.

So I drove home and it started to come back as soon as I pulled into the driveway. I started to feel really tired and my muscles started to hurt. I've been laying in bed ever since and I wonder if I should go to the hospital? It doesn't seem serious but I'm starting to wonder if it is. I've been sipping some water. And my muscles seem to be loosening up. I don't hurt much anymore. I'm not dizzy at all.

What do you guys think? Classic case of dehydration?

Sounds like dehydration. I don't wanna give you bad advice and be responsible for something bad happening. Just maybe get some very light food in your system and slowly sip on some water.

Here's a link to read about heat cramps and heat exhaustion (with dehydration). If you are alone then you should probably have someone come stay overnight with you and if you don't feel well you should seek medical aide either by going to the hospital or phoning a medical help line (some communities have those where nurses answer the phone and will give basic first aid information). Medical help is best given by those trained to do so.

Yeah, I just called my uncle who's an RN and he said I should drink some gatorade. And he said it's not serious since I'm still awake haha.

Anyway, I'll let you know how things go. Seems like there's always something wrong with me. A couple of days ago it was my neck, and today it's dehydration.

    Life hates me.

Yes, slowly drink water - no guzzling bottles at a time when you are dehydrated. There are a lot of pressures/gravities/pumps ect. in your body/cells, and your chances water intoxication increases if you drink too much/too fast.

I'm a "pitter", and I love my concerts. Unfortunately, I also am really sensitive to the heat and have a tendancy to pass out lol. Your muscles will ease up after some pressure/levels in your body are evened and recover from the dehydration, and then they'll hurt tomorrow from moshing And don't forget the sunburn... and the loss of voice... and bruises...

    Haha, fun times

Welcome to AZ! I went to warped here 3 times and was sick as a dog after each time - I stopped going because I just couldn't take being out in the sun all day during the summer here.
