    New BP owner here....

    Hey guys,
After lurking for a few months and getting my first ball about 2 months ago im finally posting. My ball is unsexed and I have no idea how old it is but its about 33" long and has the girth of a quarter ( a little bigger ). It has eaten perfectly for me and has never missed a meal, pounding down F/T every week since I got it. I have been through one shed with it, had to soak and help the skin off, and looks like its getting ready to shed again ( body getting real dull ).

The enclosure is a 20L with two heat pads controlled by dimmers. The hotside temp is 94 and the coolside temp is 83. Overall humidity stays at a pretty constant 46% and when i need to raise it I use a warm damp towel over a third of the screen top. Below are some pics so if anyone could please tell me if I am missing anything or things that need improvement let me know. Thanks.

    -Jason

Ditto to what the others said, only one question, what is in the clear bowl in the first pic?

Looks like a bowl with moist moss to keep humidity up

The only thing I can say is check the hide on the left and make sure that he/she is pretty well compacted into it when she curls inside it, its their security. :] Log hides arn't the best but if their to the side like that you could easily cover up one of the entrances for more security.

Also, you might want to move the lamps a bit more separately apart so your not directly heating up the water bowl. They probably wouldn't enjoy drinking hot water. ;]

If your using it for humidity purposes thats a bit more understandable. The moss is a good idea for humidity!

Is there another hide in the leaves somewhere or is it just a leaf hide (which is slightly clever)?

haha actually my ball prefers F/t lettuce over mice, people can be vegetarians why not snakes???

nathanladet got it right, its a little glass dessert cup that actually has a decent amount of surface area to it thats filled with moss. I was doin a little expiramenting to see how much if at all it would effect the humidity. It only raised it about 4% tho.

the other hide is in the leaves, on the side of the tank like the other. I was plannin on doin different hides, they havent gotten dirty yet...thank god, but when they do i dont know how I can fully sterilize them. Anyone have any ideas for a nice looking hide in a display setup?
