She is a whopping 40 grams, but doing alright..

I've been hovering over her like a hawk, to be honest, but she puts up with it.

Hopefully I can report soon that she has eaten, but that'll be a week or so

Re: WARNING: Not for the faint of heart...

well the baby that survived is stunning, i must say. it is definitely very sad to see (and hear about how it was alive when you cut the egg oh em gee) that poor deformed lil dude... the colorings on the lost soul you have there were definately monumentally delish. very sorry to have that happen. i definitely think that that it is a great thing to have posted, as i'm further educated because of it, and i'm sure i'm not the only one. breeding animals is no joke, and coming into situations like this is definitely something that i bet not everyone who embarks on a breeding journey thinks about.

i appreciate you sharing this little situation with us, and wish you mucho luck with your lil survivor. keep us posted

did the dead one come out of the egg itself or did you cut, I don't see how it could do it itself.

The live one had come out already, and the other didn't. I pulled the dead one out of the egg..

It didn't come out by itself.
