probe placement for thermostat
where do I put the probe for my new thermostat? Under substrate?

You put the thermoMETER probe on the substrate on the warm side (pref. under the warm side hide) and the probe of the thermoSTAT flush against the underside of the UTH.

are you using a tank or a tub?
If you are using a tank, what is the Thermostat controling? ( A CHE or a UTH?)

i would tape the thermostat probe on top of the flexwatt so that it is sandwiched between the flexwatt and the bottom of the enclosure.

I have tanks and it will controll UTH...

I would tape the thermostat probe on top of the UTH so that it is sandwiched between the UTH and the bottom of the tank.
