Thought I was Going to DIE.....

So I sat straight up in bed at about 830, in horrible, horrible pain.

It felt as if someone had kicked me in the left testicle, very very hard. The pain was in my lower stomach on the left side. I was nauseous, dizzy, and very uncomfortable to say the least.

So, after about two hours of unbelievable pain, I decided ER time. Get in the car drive to the ER, sign in, sit down.....

....and I kid you not.........THE PAIN STOPPED!!!!!!!

So naturally I left.

Anybody have any ideas? Im not about to drop 1000 bones so they can run a bunch of tests and ish on me, and it turns out to be gas or something LOL.

Anyone?

Bad bad food.. Did you have any residual gas or anything to eat that causes bad gas?

I honestly cant imagine it hurting for that long. Ive been hit PRETTY good before, and its never EVER been that bad, or for nearly as long.

thats a possibility. I was thinking gal (sp?) bladder stones, but thats the right side.

colonitis. Although my pain wasn't sharp, I ended up a year later having 10 inches of my intestine removed. Does anyone in your family have Chron's Disease or diverticulitis?

Holy crap pat! Hows the uh....testicle feel now? abnormal? However I think if there was testicular damage the pain wouldn't up and dissapear. It must be something a little more internal...good luck!

Sounds like testicular torsion to me. I had it last year and had to get surgery done. This is not something you want to deal with, but I'm not sure if the doctors can check it out if it's not occurring. I could be wrong though. If I were you, I'd check it out. Surgery to mine untwisted was around $12K. Get it checked out if you can...

Get a doctor's appointment to get checked out so that you don't end up in ER again?

Rick and I have both had gall bladders removed (it's SOOO the couple thing to do), but our pain with it was pretty different. My entire abdomen was a twisted, in-frikkin'-credible, take me to the ER NOW kind of pain, which didn't go away until they put morphine in me (mmm....morphine). Rick's, on the other hand, was a regularly occurring thing that increased with frequency (once every couple of weeks to every week) and increased pain (from "i have an upset stomach" to a very big man in tears).

In any case, get it checked out...please? =)
