Re: WARNING: Not for the faint of heart...
Sorry to hear that Heather, sadly it is something that all of us should keep in mind and be prepare to face sooner or later.
Being able to breed the animals we love is so rewarding and exciting and sometimes it can be so heartbreaking .

I'm oh so very sorry! How heartbreaking for it to happen to any animal! But, the survivor is absolutely beautiful!
I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Maybe this happened now, with this cluctch, as a stepping stone or a learning experience so it doesn't happen with the next one. Who knows, maybe the next clutch will bring some really out of this world babies!

Yeah...
I think my substrate is too wet as well. My eggs are very very big. What should I do? I mean will it be ok if I change the new substrate right now? I'm using vermiculite, but I didn't think it's too wet at that time. If I can go back and do it again, I would use perlite/water and leave all eggs on the tray(don't know the exact word) on perlite/water. Should I change right now, or it's not a good idea?
Sorry for that Black pastel btw. Hope it's just one in a life time for you.

T,
Try adding some dry vermiculite to the box, and it should soak up some of the water.

That's awful, Heather. I'm so sorry. The clutch that my baby burm came from had a similar baby, and it's heartbreaking to see.

Yes.. So it was supposed to be... It was a dinking project that was supposed to prove out better than it did.
