Mac on a PC....
For a long time I said I would never get a Mac. I've always used Windows and couldn't get used to Macs. Well more and more of my clients are using Mac so I figured I better know how to get around them. What I found is that I really like the OS. The problem was I couldn't bring myself to pay what they ask for overpriced hardware. Yes, I know, it's pretty, but I can get much better specs in a Dell for a lower price. Amy had told me about a company that is selling Mac OS on PC hardware. I looked at them, did some research and found out I could do it myself cheaper. I was about to purchase new hardware when I realized Amy's PC already had the necessary specs. I understand the legal and ethical questions will be asked. Read about it and decide for yourself.

All I know is with about 3 hours worth of work last night and another 2 today (I had a network card problem), I am running Leopard on a PC with a AMD processor. It is fast and so far flawless.
I'd like to hear if anyone else has done it. Of course if it works I will pay for a retail copy of Leopard so it's all legal and junks!

Re: Mac on a PC....
A friend of mine has been using it and loves it to bits.
I just finished building a gamer rig and I plan to install a second HD. I might install this OS on it.
I don't want to open a Mac vs. PC debate, but I will say this; I am totally with you on the value of PCs vs. Mac. Many people don't realize that Mac is a closed-resource company. That means that they don't let anybody create hardware for Macs. They control the spice ... er, hardware... and thus the Mac universe, as is reflected in their prices. PCs are open-resource and allow other companies, from major corporations to mom & pop shops, to build fully functional and intergradable hardware components for their platforms. That's why you can get a PC many times superior to a MAC for a fraction of the price. Or, you could do as I just did 2 days ago, and price-shop for components and build it yourself. The savings are amazing.
And if you want to pay extra for the "pretty-factor," you can find literally thousands of different cases out there to choose from! I had a hard time deciding!

This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
