it is a muggy summer day but the humidity is so high (80-90) although it is like that throughout my house. but i dont want my first snake to get ri. am just paranoid? or should I change substrate or do something else to lower humidity. or is higher humidity good for a baby snake.
I use repti bark then a bit of aspen on top. But then, I need a lot of humidity even though it is high outside I run my a/c alot and we started using it again in april this year. I find if I mist the substrate now, the aspen dries quickly by the Repti Bark stays moist almost 2 days. I can barely maintain a 50% humidity.
ya its not my substrate. i put my humidity gage outside and it stayed at like 75-80% so its just a muggy summer day i dont think i need to Worry about it.
My last bag of bark brought my humidity up in the 90% range but after a day or two I was back to fighting to bring it up to normal range. I found that putting aspen on top of it helped bring the high humidity down. Now that she is in a shedding phase, I'm really having a problem!
