    recommendations?

i was wondering what you're first morph was? and does anyone have any recommendations for a beginning breeder, as to the first morph they should get? spider, pinstripe, etc? or whether it should be dom, co dom or recessive? im gonna start breeding in about three years when my babies grow up haha but i might as well plan now!
    1.0 pastel, Aiden
    1.0 HOG, Lee

    Re: recommendations?

Buy what you like and buy girls........ Boys mature much faster than girls so you can get them later....

    Good luck!!

    Re: recommendations?

This wasn't my first, but it was the one that I am super excited about breeding and my only current ball, which is my male lesser. I got a male because I know that I can buy alot of sub adult normals and a adult morph or two later.

    Re: recommendations?

I just started breeding recently. I bought two females that were breeding with a mojave male (bought him too) I followed that up with 5 more females.. This will be the year of the mojave for me.

I plan to keep some babies, sell/trade any extras to finance some pin's, spiders, pastels etc.

I haven't got into recessives yet, mostly because they cost more but het's are fairly cheap and if you buy some now in 3 years they will be plenty big to breed.

You can't go wrong with whatever you choose.

    Re: recommendations?

I would recommend a female of whatever morph or het morph you like. A female because they take much longer to reach sexual maturity and whatever catches your eye because snakes take work and attention and money.
My very first snakes that I ever ordered from a breeder were a pastel het ghost and a het ghost. I quickly moved forward with 1.1 mojaves. I then quickly moved forward with a spider, ghost, pastel, lemon pastel, lesser, 0.2 normals, albino, and axanthic. Out of all of those, only 4 are males.
So get what catches your eye and have fun with it~ the fun comes first

    Re: recommendations?

My first morph was a pastel, although I had intended to start out with albinos. My second morph was another pastel (so I have a pair) and then I picked up a pair of het hypos.

    Re: recommendations?

Whatever female anything you can afford and catches your eye, and down the road you can add any male for cheaper than it would cost tomorrow and start building your collection that way,

Pastels are the new normal in many peoples eyes and play well with any morphs you choose in the future. So normals or pastels if your on a budget and anything that you like if can afford it.
