    Good question. I don't know anybody who would feed a 200g snake a large rat
    Going on the information, I *assumed* the snake had to be larger than 200g. Feeding a 'smaller' rat could well possible mean a rat that is about 40g (my smalls are 55g). This is not out of the ballpark for a snake- even a 200g snake!
    Also, I don't know of anybody who has a little 200g snake that would feed an enormous 85g large rat to.... I gave the OP the benefit of the doubt for having brain matter

    Well I need to get you guys some pictures. My ball is about 3 feet long. Not really sure on how big around the largest part of Reggie's Body is. I dont think he wanted it and didnt really pay attention. I think i mite keep the rat though She is Cute. lol

    Do you have a gram scale that you could weigh her on (snake, not rat!) Keeping an accurate weight record takes all the guess work out of feeding and is also hugely important for any vet visits....

    feed him a large rat once a month? Assuming he is an adult, i would adjust your feeding schedule to one medium rat a week. Firstly, no ball python needs a meal that large, unless of course they are only being fed once a month. smaller meals more frequently is what i would do, but that is me.
