Ball python feeding question

I just bought an 07 female spider this weekend at the hamburg show. I went to feed her today and she struck at it coiled it and then let it go and wanted nothing to do with it anymore. It was a f/t rat pup and she weighs 240g as of yesterday. I figure this is some what normal becuase of the new enviroment and everything. What are all of your thoughts on this one?

I would give her a week to get adjusted to her new home.

Yes, you need to let it acclimate to its new surroundings. It might be under a lot of stress: new home, new smells, traveling, etc... Now, let it rest for a week, no handling, no offering food, just spot clean the enclosure and change the water. After 7 days, offer her food. Was she previously fed f/t? Otherwise, you might want to try live food. Remember to prescent the room for a good 20-30 minutes before feeding her so as to put her in feeding mode.

yeh I'll give her a little break, its so hard to keep your hands off them though lol. I think its weird she coiled it for a while and just let it go. It wasnt just an anger strike
