    Re: The price of gas?

3.95 here in Richmond, Va. That's what it was coming home so I'm going to stop by there and put some gas in before it goes up.

Hybrids are only good for city driving and stop and go situations. If you travel mostly highway miles its not worth it. This example is based on if you had say a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Camry Hybrid, it would somewhere around 8-10 years to get your money back. Obviously if you went from a Ford SuperDuty to a hybrid car your return would be greater A LOT sooner.

You probably get to use a sled for a few months out of the year too.

In terms of saving money I am not convinced about hybrids yet. I think it would take quite a while to make back the money you would save on gas. They are a little better for the environment though so if thats your goal then they are good. I think the best bet for saving money is buying a an old used good quality honda that can get 40 mpg. Cheap car, decent gas mileage, and low insurance. Overall I think thats the cheapest you could go.

I forgot to say what the price was here. I feel very lucky. I just saw 3.73 today. I have to use premium but either way I still pay less than most people.

Gas here is only $3.95... But it still cost me $44 to fill up my 1996 Honda Civic!!!!

LOL! back in the day I filled it up for less then 12 bucks!

Where is my raise to make up for this crap????
