    Re: Racks...

Here is a picture of my rack. It was my first rack. It is from Reptile Basics and I love it, they were great to order from. My roommate and I ordered our racks at approximately the same time, but from different companies. Mine arrived several weeks earlier, and Reptile Basics was great about answering all the silly newbie questions I had about setting my rack up. It is the 32 quart model.

    Here is the rack:

Here is a picture one one tub equipped with the optional dividers, which I also adore:

With any of the racks from AP, RBI or Vision will I need to do any extra work with the flexwatt to get it all set up? Of it is good to go out of the box?

    Re: Racks...

I do not know about the others, but the Reptile Basics rack come with the flexwatt already set up. All you have to do is take it out of the box and tweak the thermostat and thermostat probe placement to get the temperature you need. With the Reptile Basics rack and pretty much all racks I think you have to order the thermostat separate (it is not included with the rack). I use a ranco thermostat, also purchased from Reptile Basics, on mine.

    Re: Racks...

I would recommend that you spend enough to get a quality rack, like the ones from Reptiile Basics. I have seen some real cheap ones out there, and it's not worth the risk to save a few dollars. Think of it as a long term investment. I have two racks that are at least 8 years old, and they are still working great.
