I just saw this on her today, idk what it is... helpp please?

I had her out last night, she was fine, didnt see anything at all.. i always check her belly cause its easy to see stuff cause is pure white, and i saw this, it had to have happened over night, so i dont think its scale rot, especially as these snakes are used to higher humidity scale rot is rare... i think cause she was moving around alot last night, and getting under her water dish, and well all over, she could have scraped a scale, which is what it appears to be... but i figured yall might know a little more =]


by the way, i named her Fluffy, cause ever sense i have had snakes i wanted a big one named Fluffy... and i couldnt think of anything else, and i hated calling her Brazil

Looks like she just tore the scale. It will go away with a couple sheds.

thats what i figured, but i really wasnt sure, and seeing as my uncle gave me the snake, i wanted to make sure i wasnt just looking on the bright side of things and being blind to something =]

Fluffy is a great name!!
And so, why couldn't it be scale rot??
Also, if a torn scale, would there be need to apply some neosporin?

The reason i didnt freak when i saw it was
a] i was just holding her last night, didnt see it... so its new
b] she was slamin around last night moving hides and getting under her water dish, keepin me up, i figured she hurt herself.
c] BRB's are high humidity animals, and many sites have said that the species will hardly ever get scale rot, unless the cage is dripping wet for days and days...

I know next to nothing about boas, so I can't really comment on the injury/whatever.

I have JOKED about naming a snake Fluffy, then having a friend over that I know does not like snakes, and asking "Hey do you want to see our new pet Fluffy?" and then getting out the cute little mouse, tossing it into the snake's enclosure and saying "Here, Fluffy, here is dinner".

Somebody should name a BP morph the fluff ball.
