    Re: Tub housing pics

Not as long as you use a UTH or heat tape that only covers 1/3 the bottom. That way you get the gradient you need...as long as the air in the room (or right near the tub) is in the 80's for the cool side.

That green tub pictured is about 12qt and, though it's for a corn snake, it keeps the gradient just right at a 10 degree difference.

    Re: Tub housing pics

I believe it is a 12qt. Got it from WalMart back during the post Christmas tubs sale...which is why it's green. It's my favorite small tub since it's nice and wide for more floor space and perfectly clear...aside from the green tint. I really should have picked up more than one.

It has a 1-5al size ZooMed UTH under one side and holds two coconut hides and a nice mini ceramic dish, as well as some mini logs for climbing (since that houses a young corn).

And sorry to steal into the topic, but it's tub related so...

The warning labels on UTHs say not to use on plastic. If it were hooked up to a thermostat then they'd be alright?

    35 Quart Latch Box
That is the tub I use for Pandora. Works really well for me. It is a little tight trying to fit everything in it, but if you use some jigsaw skills it will work out. I will get a pic for you in a couple hours after my girlfriend wakes up. We have a driftwood log, two DIY gladware-ish hides, a rock water dish and 2 fake leaf vines for cover, all on aspen. She put on quite a bit of length this shed, but probably around 2 3/4 feet now. I can get you a better measurement of that too if you'd like, but she is probably around 600 grams now. She was a rescue, so i dont really know how long your hatchling will take to get to this size, but from what I hear around the forums with peoples yearlings at a kg+, my guess is less than a year for sure. Good luck and shoot me a pm if you want some pics.

Just realized that might not be the exact same tub as Pandora's. It looked familiar so I thought it was, but I think that is the same tub as what one of my friends is keeping feeder mice in. Either way, mine is really similar, I can get pics if you want them.

Ditto. I have 800+g bp's still in 15qt tubs, and they wouldnt have it any other way.
