I'm not sure if I'm wanting to show these off or not, but I got a new Normal BP on Sunday. When I saw his coloring, he was extremely pale with very little browns to him. When I asked about him, the guy selling him said that he sold him to some woman last year and she gave him back to him earlier that year because her kids weren't able to take care of him anymore.
When I got to look at him, I decided to pass on him, because he was in horrid shape. He had lots of spots on his back were his bad sheds hadn't come off yet. There were also a lot of spots that looked like heat burns and/or scale rot.
My girlfriend, having the over generous heart that she has, decided he was a diamond in the rough and wanted to buy him as a gift for me. So, she paid the man, we got him home, put him in a new tub on newspapers, in a room away from my existing normal. I'm going to try and get an appointment with a local herp vet this week to get him checked out.
Below are some of the pics we took of him before we put him in the tube.
Overall:
One of the spots on his side:
A belly shot with more spots:
And this was were it was really bad near his vent:
I can't imagine how bad his conditions have been until now, but hopefully he'll be able to improve and after some sheds some of that will clear up.
If ya'll have any comments, advice or well wishing I would greatly appreciate it. My g/f and I have been arguing that he is just a normal or not.
