I think my boa hurt himself..need input

So I walked by the tub a few minutes ago. My boas tub is right at eye level. I don't know if I startled him, or he is hungry (it is feeding day) but he struck at the side of the tub so hard it made me jump. He has never done that before. Anyway it like, folded his lower jaw back into his mouth a little bit. If you can imagine a snake looking like it has a parrot mouth thats what it looks like.

There is no blood and he seems un bothered by it. What are the chances of something being broken?
Should I go ahead with feeding? Or let him wait until tomorrow to see if it goes back?
I waited for a while to see if he'd realign his jaw but he didn't.

Thats what I am thinking. I am going to go check on him here in a few minutes. I felt like having me standing there staring at him he wasn't going to do anything so I am giving a little privacy.

Post a pic. This sounds familiar to me, but I have hundreds of boas here. Some of mine "snarl" at me when they are really P-ed off. I once got a boa in from another breeder that looked like it had a misformed jaw and I emailed him about it freaking out...lol. The next day he was fine.

I just went up there to check on him and it appears he realigned it. I took him out and felt around his lower jaw. It feels normal, not weak or anything. He is acting completely normal too.

I know these animals are more limber than we give them credit for most of the time, but they sure do have a way of scaring us. In many more ways than one.

Should I go ahead and feed him tonight?

I think he was telling you he'd like dinner! LOL

We have a young female boa here that constantly tub slams on feeding night (and she's very well fed so it's not about being overly hungry). I always jump a mile high and I'm always sure she'll knock herself stupid but it never seems to hurt her. I guess she just gets overly excited about dinnertime.

Boas are funny though. Our male boa, if he misses a strike and even lightly taps his tank, that's it - dinnertime is done for that week. He'll immediately retreat to his big hide and basically sulk about the whole awful "ordeal".
