I do plan on recycling them for sure though, as I do have a guilty concience when it comes to the planet.. Save it for the children!!

Re: Ramekins & Deli Cups as Water Bowls
Do ramekins hold water well? It seems some of my other ceramic water bowls allow water to seep out of the bottom. Sometimes when I pick up the ceramic bowls, there is a little water trapped under the bowl. Thanks.

My ramekins have had no problems... I'm assuming you have some cracked ones??

I have 22 Ramekins in use and all of them are perfect. These are the white ones- like for creme brulee. They're great. Hmmm, now I feel like making creme brulee.... darn.

I know I may get flamed, and I have visited breeders with a large number of snakes...and understand the 'convenience' but can you imagine all the little plastic deli cups the herp world goes thru just to get out of washing a water bowl?
....too me....silly.
Should we stop using paper towels too?

Justin- using less paper towels is a good idea though we are talking about using a petroleum by-product that introduces a lot of pollution into the air and is just another bunch of plastic that (usually) ends up in our landfills.
It is not out of the question to remember things like this. In my opinion, you're being a little troll with your comment. Please take it to the QT.

I don't think they are cracked. They all do it. The only thing that I can think of is that I put them in the dishwasher when I first got them. Maybe the hot water made them less likely to hold water. It is not a lot of water under them, but it is there, and I have to move them around so that they do not sit in one place for too long. I change water ever two days, so I just shuffle them from each side of the tub during water change.
