how often should my snake eat?
I have had my snake for almost two months. When i brought her home she ate that day within a couple of hours and she ate two fuzzies as she did with every feeding until she shed recently. Now she is eating adult mice (frozen of course) cant bear to do live and she ate last sunday and again today. The snake will not eat if she is not hungry? I am just worried about overfeeding her but she always seems hungry within 3 days after eating. I am glad she has a healthy appetite but just concerned.

Its recommended to feed every 5-7 days. Im sure someone here will give more specifics, I believe age and size of the snake can play into how often and how much it should be fed.

so your feeding her every 3 days? Id stretch that out to every 5-7 days. You haven't done anything wrong, she probably just looks like a fat sausage right now!

I feed her every 4 days i try to stretch it out as long as i can. As soon as she gets active again i will wait 5 days and try that.

Re: how often should my snake eat?
Depending on the size of your snake, she may need more than one mouse every 5-7 days. If this is the case, you can feed 2 mice in one feeding, rather than feeding every 3 days.

I had not thought about feeding her two but i am not sure if she could handle it.

We feed ours every 7 days...any sooner than that and she will refuse it. Also, she is only a one prey feeder, she won't take two mice in one day.

Re: how often should my snake eat?
My snakes under 200-300g get fed every 5 days; over that weight and they get fed every 7 days.
Maybe if you don't want to feed multiples, or are uncomfortable feeding multiples, you might want to think about switching to rats
