Soooo frustrating... Need advice!
I need some advice please. I have been dealing with retained eye caps and shed on his head. I have tried everything, waiting till the next shed, baths, etc. His humidity and temp are all right.
I decided to take him to the dr. The first place that I called was LSU, well it is almost $60 just for the exam. After searching for someone local I found a vet that said they could help. I took him today well needless to say that they could not help me at all and actually told me things that I knew were wrong. Nice but very misinformed. Oh, not to mention that they charged me after saying that they could not help me and go to the university.
so here is my delima, should I take him to the university and pay the money or wait?
They also said that vets will not remove the caps. Is this true?
he has had them for a while, although he is not aggressive he is a bit jumpy b/c he can't see
Any advice is GREATLY appreciated!!!

hold him and spray his head just a bit with a spray bottle. Then rub the stuck shed with your fingers. Downwards, Take some scotch tape to the eye caps If your 100% sure they are caps, and not jost shriveled up eyes caused by lack of humidity. But be gentile

Thank you for your help! So I assume that they can be removed without hurting him?

Wet a cotton swab and rub it in the affected area, it worked for me.
NO PAIN, NO GAIN!!

Put him in a damp pillow case.
The roughness of t could help with him slithering around for an exit.
