laura, i've gone through my moments as i'm quite sure adam has as well... but all in all we've done a nice peaceful "sit and wait" - it's been great doing business with him. after all, life happens! it just does and if you don't have compassion for situations, then why breathe?
for anyone who is unaware i feel like i need to clarify something. i could have received my snakes last fall. the CITES finally came through in august and we were going to have them sent to us. but adam's son fell ill. i told him to forget about us... focus on his son.
unfortunately by the time his son was 'out of the woods' it was too cold to ship. this cold snap continued all winter! airlines will not ship when it's below zero and so we waited for the warm weather to appear. then our CITES expired and we've had to send away for a new one ('we' meaning adam) and he's received it again. we are simply waiting on Air Canada to do an inspection and approve adam again for shipping to canada and we will be ready to go. but hey, this stuff takes time!
when dealing with live animals and many different agencies it's important to breathe and remember that your breeder is doing what he can to get you your product/critters. trust me, i can't imagine that adam is thrilled about feeding my snakes week after week... cleaning their enclosures... changing their water. he's doing it all... and not a single complaint from him about it to me. not one!
so... although we can look at this situation and think... 18 months are you freakin' kidding me??? if you look at the details you'll see that there was nothing that could be done to speed it up. we simply have to wait. everything will happen when the time is right.
hopefully... the time will be right this year

You have 1440 minutes a day... how are you going to spend yours?
ah thanks. i love the reduced pattern on lil' dude. (male pastel) he's so cute. if you look in the archives you'll see pic of him when he was a baby... sooooooooo adorable!
i kinda feel like i've missed their really yellow phase... so i'm hoping their babies will feed that need within me!
