    Any archaeology buffs?

I am, er was. I reeeeeally wanted to study archeology when I was younger (Thanks Indy and Lara!). I planned on going to U of M and from there shipping off to Egypt and squirm my way to working with Zahi Hawass. LOL, oh children and their dreams eh?

Anyways, they found a large city near Sinai!

i always wanted to be a paleontologist as a kid and "dig up dinosaur bones someday". I also wanted to be a vet and an astronaut. This semester I took a course in archaeology (don't forget the second 'a') and loved it.

Anyway, good link. Thanks for sharing

That's actually really cool. I want pictures!

It's ok. When I was a kid I wanted to be an astronaut and was planning to discover new life.

Anyways, I forgot what I was saying...

I was big into paleontology too when Jurassic Park came out, but I absolutely LOVE the middle east and ancient Egypt. I have a lot of books on Egyptian archaeology from back when I was young.

When I was a child I wanted to be an either an archaeologist or an anthropologist. I joined the Army for 3 years and when I got out I attended Ferris State and found that I could no longer tolerate sitting still in a classroom. So instead of becoming educated I made my living the hard way. I still find archeology and anthropology interesting and read related articles that I come across.

See, I've never been able to sit still in a classroom. I'm all about self study! Especially when your really interested in something, you just CAN'T get enough of it!

My archaeology professor does digs and stuff in belize every summer. You can pay for the class and get credit for going with her and helping her find Mayan pottery and stuff. I am seriously considering it for next summer.
