I raised 7 from a hatchling, so it's really cool. I took my time finding the right male, cuz I wanted a "match" so to speak. Jedi sort of fell into my lap and was perfect.
They generally perch very soon after fully emerging from the egg if there is a perch available. If there is not one they will coil in a somewhat circular pattern like most snakes. morelia viridis, being the most arboreal of pythons always are looking upwards for the most part...
