So, today I go by the local Petsmart to get Diamond some more food and I KNEW it was adoption day. I've been missing having a kitty in the home since Chynna had to be PTS on May 5th, and honestly, Diamond has also been moping.

The kittens were cute, but I overheard the adoption folks talking and saying "I can't believe no one has adopted Sammy yet". Being the nosey nellie that I am I say "which one is Sammy?"

What a handsome boy! He's 10 months old, and his tag said he was good with dogs and that he needed a companion pet at home (I've got that!)

It came down to Sammy and a pretty girl named Bean - both less than a year old, but both out of the cute kitten stage, and I like rescuing the animals others pass over for the cute babies.

He was a little overwhelmed at the store, but his foster mom was there and gave me his history and said he LOVES to jump in your lap when you're on the computer - LAP KITTY!!!!!! He's already done that a few times since we've been home, despite having a cold dog nose in his butt.

He's fully vetted - his next shots are due in October. He's neutered and micro-chipped. Dr. C even got to see him today, because I had to stop by there to pick up some more ear medicine for Diamond and he said he was so happy to see me happy and not sad (since the last time he saw me was when he put Chynna down). He proclaimed him beautiful and healthy (when he admired him in the lobby as I was checking out) and can't wait to see him in October for his full check-up.

I've got all his medical records from the time he was first picked up as a kitten from a feral mom that they couldn't catch.

Diamond is over the moon about getting her own kitty again. He's a little disgusted with her, but not scared of her - just annoyed. When we leave for the next week, we'll put him the bedroom for some peace from Diamond who keeps play bowing at him.

She even refused to stay outside with her daddy (Karl) while he was washing his car, because she wanted to be with her kitty! LOL

So, here's my piebald kitty - or EvilMorphKitty - since spending a week with Kevin and Kara's sweet kitties just really reinforced how much I missed having a kitty around!
