First off, thanks everybody for all the congratulations and opinions on this project. I'm really glad the name has been well received too! For all those that asked about pics, there will be plenty to come .

Dude those things are freakin amazing looking. They even have the connecting Eye Stripe that your lemon pastel has! What color are their eyes?

Yeah, I love that eyestripe!! They have very dark eyes. I can barely see the pupil in good lighting.

btw do you have any pictures of the holdback Pastel female that you kept?

Got a couple shots, but nothing recent.
Here are three of the pastels from the first GF breeding at about 4 months old I think. We still have two of these.


The really hot girl last year. She is a bit darker than this now, but still a looker. Blue at the moment, but I'll be sure to snap some when she sheds.

Ah yes. I honestly couldn't see any pattern on any shed, however, I leave my hatchlings in the egg box to shed and they end up being quite discolored in the vermiculite we use, not sure if that's why, but we'll see next shed.

Wow very cool!! They all look great, I like that the sibs are darker than normals and the homozygous look like a almost like a hypo something.

Yeah, the darker than normal sibs seems really strange to me, especially with previous normal (or not so normal...) clutch mates being very light in general.

I'm SO thrilled for you, Evan!!! Those babies are simply stunning! And I think GOLDFINGER is a perfect name for them!!!

First off, Congratulations Evan. Those are some extrodinary animals, and I love the name. I believe I agree with the general concensus of the posters in that it loks somewhat like a caramel and a hypo, but not quite either. I hope you have some fun with the project over the next few years, and I'm sure you will. I can't wait to see this project blossom and grow, and hope to one day add some Goldfinger to my collection.

Thanks! I think the luck was all in finding her in the first place, but once the project was in front of me, I always knew I was going to follow through with it, just didn't really expect much at the time.

Awesome! Makes me want to dink around with my original male ball...colorwise he looks like the "normal female" male you've got pictured there. I have to admit, I've kinda wanted to dink with my original ball anyway, since in his youth he got lighter with every shed, and is now a light tan m&m color.

Did he get lighter as he got older, or did he pretty much stay the same?

He has darkened up with age, but both he and his mom have held that nice light golden hue. Momma goldfinger is spectacular in her pre-ov glow!

That is AWESOME Evan!!! BIG congrats, and I can't wait to see one or two at one of the shows this year. That is truely cool. Makes me all the more excited for dinking projects, although I doubt I'll ever get that lucky. I do have one female I am wondering about...breeding her to a mojo this year...we shall see.
