Ditto that. Also, I would shy away from taking your snake to the pet store to weigh it. You may trust pet stores, but they do carry some very harmful things to your snake. Ecto parasites being the most common and hard to get rid off.

Just a word of caution.

Herpers need to keep things like that in mind in regards to proper quarantine.

You can pick up a kitchen scale from walmart to weigh your snake and keep track of his progress.

Also should mention, I know your excited about this new snake, but givin his current condition, it would be BEST to minimize the stress and leave him alone as much as possible until he has good weight on him and is completely healed of all wounds.

Constant holding, peeking, arranging of his surroundings, taking him on trips, etc etc is not helping him. BP's are very shy and secretive, preferring to be in a warm hide rather than being messed with.

If he is subjected to constant stress, he may start to refuse food and become ill. Especially so when he is already recovering and his immune system is already compromised.
