    New New Home Built Rack

Finished the rack. It's made of 3/4" melamine, thank goodness we had the foresight to put casters on the bottom, that sucker is heavy! This was made with 2 48" x 96" sheets. Each shelf can hold either one 32 quart tub or two 16 quart tubs. I hate the white, but that's all we could really find.

I have to finish/seal the exposed wood yet, still debating what to use. The back heat is 11" flexwatt, it's currently hooked up to a dimmer. My room temps stay fairly stable, and using the dimmer I can control each strip independently.

Might just end up going with a t-stat though and let it do the work for me.

    Looks Great! Good Job.

I would still recommend a thermostat. If for some reason the ambient temp changes a dimmer won't keep the 2 strips from really heating up quickly.

They sell rolls of melamine edging. Easy as anything to put on with the help of a hot iron.

    Lol,

You've obviously never seen me struggle to iron a shirt Jo.

I had to use a black marker to put a nice finish on the edges.
