Exclamation Re: I need some help here!

Ok...update on sweet Bella~We took her to the vet. He said it was indeed mouth rot, and gave her a shot of antibiotics, and sent her home with another 5 syringes to be administered every 48 hours, and said to get rid of the reptile bark we were using and go to plain ole newspaper. He said the reptile bark, while itself was not harmful, retains too much moisture (like when she spills her water, among other things) and it is a prime breeding ground for mites. He said not to even try to offer her food for at least two weeks, her mouth would be too sore, but that the infection should be cleared up for the most part in about a week or so. He said to soak her in lukewarm water for about 20 mins a day, and keep her away from the other babies until further notice. Whew!!! I think thats all, i can't remember anything else he said at the moment. Thank you guys so much for your advice, and I'll keep you posted on her recovery.

But mites have to be introduced to the environment. They sometimes can come from a package of bedding, but that is usually uncommon.

Anyways, freezing any package of bedding or baking it will take care of any little tag a longs.
