Re: ATTENTION BREEDERS: baby leo set-ups

When I kept and bred mine I used 15qt racks for 1.2, moved the males into their own once the females were gravid.

For babies, I kept them individual in 6qt tubs after they were sexable.

Re: ATTENTION BREEDERS: baby leo set-ups

I used a sterilite shoebox rack for babies when I bred leos. I kept clutchmates together until they were several months old at which time I either upgraded them to a larger rack or kept them singly. I also kept a dish of mealworms in each tub at all times, but it is not pictured here as I had just removed all of the dishes for filling.

Re: ATTENTION BREEDERS: baby leo set-ups

I have started out babies in a shoebox. I don't have any babies right now, and I don't have access to the photos right now (left power cord for USB hard drive at a friend's house).

Since I will get albinos and hets I often will have to separate the babies early due to varying growth rates.

I turned one of the small timberline mealworm containers into a hide for babies. I also start babies out on phoenix worms.
