Eggs Dimpling
It's day 32 for a small clutch of 2 eggs and one of them started to dimple. I'm a bit worried because we lost one of the eggs (clutch of three) on day 9.
At any rate, it's my very first clutch and I just wondered if this was normal.
They're incubating at 89.5 degrees and still feel soft to the touch with firm give...though the ends of the eggs feel a bit stiffer....humidity is good, no condensation dripping on eggs or anything like that...veins show nicely when candeling (which is sooo cool!!)
Just wondering if this is normal or should I change something....Thanks!

Re: Eggs Dimpling
Just remember the most critical part of hatching snake eggs for us newbie breeders....
- stand in front of the incubator
- mumble insane things at the eggs up to and including embarassing baby talk
- ignore your spouse hollering for you "to get your butt out of that snake room!" (in my case I have to elbow my spouse aside for staring/mumbling room!)
- rush away only to phone three breeders you know to have your regular weekly panic attack about something you are sure you've done completely and utterly wrong
- check the temps obsessively
- re-check the temps because one can never be too obsessive!
- recount the days
- mumble some more
....and so on.....

Re: Eggs Dimpling
- stand in front of the incubator - I have a chair
- mumble insane things at the eggs up to and including embarrassing baby talk - Mostly it please don't die, please don't die
- ignore your spouse hollering for you "to get your butt out of that snake room!" - yes cause dancing with the stars is so much more important
- rush away only to phone three breeders you know to have your regular weekly panic attack about something you are sure you've done completely and utterly wrong - Tim, Adam, and Sean are on speed dail
- check the temps obsessively -Twice a day
- re-check the temps because one can never be too obsessive! I see nothing wrong or neurotic about this
- recount the days - my 60 day count down is written on the front of the incubator and every morning a day get checked off
