    Re: Going under the knife!

Good luck with your Surgery!! I hope all goes as planned, and you have a quick recovery.

I had surgery for the first time 3 years ago, I had my tonsils removed and I was scared out of my mind. Only because of all the horror stories I had heard. Mostly about post surgery though.

Think positive thoughts about it! Everything will be fine!

    Re: Going under the knife!

Wow, I really appreciate all the positive thoughts from you all! It definitely makes me feel better. dsirkle, That is the same procedure i'm going for. I know a few people who had it done and would do it again if they had to. It is a big lifestyle change but will be worth it in the end. I'm going to try and do pic updates every 2 weeks or so in this topic for anyone wanting to see the progress.

Good luck to you and I hope you get well soon. I have a friend that had gastric bypass and it was like a whole new life for him. He shed the lbs like crazy and he said it was one of the best things he's ever done for himself.

Ha! Ha! You will probably sleep the majority of your first couple of days at home but I for one will be looking for your post!

I agree. Take it easy and sleep as much as you can. Best wishes on a successful surgery and the start of a brand new you.
