That looks like a really nice setup. Humid hides are extremely important for good sheds. I recommend getting one of those natural looking rock backgrounds made out of styrofoam. I believe they are made by hagen. I got mine on reptilesupply.com they really add to the display and my gecko loves to climb on it. Another thing you might want to consider getting since your using a light is one of those water wells that look like a termite mound. I had a small dish in my tank and the light would evaporate the water in no time. I believe the water well is made by Exo-Terra and it keeps the water from evaporating so quickly and keeps a constant supply of water. I change it out once or twice a week. That is a really awesome set up you have.
He might not really have to have a humid hide then. It is just one of those precautionary things that is better be safe than sorry. The hides that I use have an open bottom so I just stick a piece of papertowel under the warm side hide where she stays at the most. So I just use a spray bottle and mist it from time to time or when I see she is in shed I keep it really moist.
