    Proven Breeder Females

I see ads every once in a while for proven breeder females.
The prices seem low to me for a girl that has been proven to throw viable eggs.
It seems to me that most of the "proven breeders" for sale lately have been gravid imports that people now want to let go since they dropped their eggs (and will probably not acclimate and breed again) and large ones that people are probably letting go that sporatically reproduce or throw duds.
I have a few proven females that there is no way I would let them go since I know that they will produce for me.
It just seems foolish to mne to let a large proven breeder female go for the $75 - $300 price I have seen lately.
To me, they are worth much, much more than that and to be honest, I would rather keep them here since I know I can get more eggs out of them each season.
What are your opinions on letting go of proven breeder females?

Some people including me. Have to do it, For space, raising up morph females to take there place, and for new blood etc. I hate to do it But, It has to be done when you have a few hundred animals..

Ahh. I guess when you have a couple hundred versus 7, you would need to make cuts somewhere.
